Feedback Reflection:
The feedback that I received on my video was interesting in my opinion. I had a lot of positive feedback regarding my video and I was happy to hear that. I had some constructive criticism regarding my business idea that I appreciated as well, but I did not listen too. I also had some feedback that I laughed about at first, saying that the background noise in my video was distracting... It was raining outside. After watching my video again, I seen how that noise could have been distracting as well as the background of my video.
What I Changed:
I changed the scenery of my video and the background. There was no exterior background noise and I was dressed differently, while also in a different location. I changed up the wording of my video because there were some things that I said in the first video that did not flow correctly as a public speaker. I believe that my second video is better in the presentation, and I hope everyone enjoys it.
Hi Dakota!
ReplyDeleteNice job on your second try at the elevator pitch!!! You are obviously very well-informed about the issues that your non-profit addresses. You have great passion for your idea, and it shows. You did a great job of memorizing your material. You maintained good eye contact with the camera during your presentation.
Things you might consider changing: You might want to button up your shirt more than you did. If you are looking for funding you are probably pitching your idea to business people, and they probably expect to see a more polished, professional look. You might consider a poster or background highlighting some of your points. And you might consider recording your video indoors, where the scenery is not such a distraction from your purpose.
I got a laugh out from you saying you didn’t listen to the former constructive criticism. I think you did a great job this time, but if you only take one idea away from this review, let it be button up your shirt. Other than that, great job and great idea!!!
Dakota,
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with your enthusiasm and keeping a high energy the entire time. It is this energy that will make investors want to invest in you and your business. I think you could improve on the area where you tell investors why your non-profit is different than all the others. I know you only have a small amount of time but this is what I would focus on.
